Wimborne Extension
Extending an already beautiful Edwardian residence has to be thought about wisely. Our client was very keen to make sure that the design was not only in keeping with the original house but to blend in well enough so as not to make it an obvious addition. To do this the design board have incorparated key elements of the existing property which can be seen in the photographs above, including continuing the window detailing, both sills and headers throughout the new extension, the same roof tiles and eaves details will be used, it was also a requirement to replicate the existing Bay Window Detail to allow access out onto the rear gardens. Works are due to start in the near future and on completion the new extension will be used as a dining area, it will feature a fantastic vaulted ceiling.
Paul says: "This well proportioned home benefits from high ceilings throughout the ground floor and therefore it was only fitting to add a room that continues this theme. The owners are adamant that the new extension will be a sympathetic addition to the property using materials and methods to be in keeping with the original aesthetics"
